I'm beginning to see the advantages of making my own clothes! I bought this fabric years ago and cannot imagine why. I certainly never thought to make a jacket out of it but I am thrilled that I decided to do so. Thank you again to Alice for drawing the pattern for me.
I lined it with a light weight silk and the frogging comes from Crafts-eShop on Ebay. It was unbelievably fiddly to put on but they are beautifully made and finish the jacket perfectly.
I have slightly caught the sewing bug and decided to have a go at using up more fabric that I can't remember why I bought. This skirt used up some Cath Kidston and was very handy during the one week of summer that we had recently. I wonder if I'll need it again this year!!
The second one was using fabric that I found in Angers the other day and couldn't resist - but this time I had a definite skirt in mind.
The fabric was made for Dior and I found it in a shop that sells ends of rolls. Recently they received a huge amount of fabric from a warehouse that was closing down.
I think it needs a cardigan to match...
