For a number of years I have been working in a building that was intended to be a gite. Huge and lovely but with a few drawbacks - it couldn't be a gite for one thing as I was in the way. So a few changes have (and still are) taken place and I can now introduce you to my new workroom.
Wonderfully big shelves with plenty of space for voluminous upholstery materials.
A wall where I can hang my cane, out of the way where it shouldn't be trodden on! It's also away from windows that get the sun as it should be kept away from direct sunlight.
The first piece of work completed in the new workroom - a small stool that had been abused by the owner's grandchildren!
It really is wonderful. The lighting is better, it's easier to heat, my own space - let me repeat that...my own space. What more could a girl ask for?
And what of the old room? We are gradually getting it set up as a gite and hope to have it open by Easter. Photos in due course.
