As some of you know I have moved into the world of hand woven baby wraps. It is a world about which I know almost nothing but am learning fast. I never used a wrap with my babies but I do see them being used when I go to Angers.
Soulmates is the first of the wraps for 2016. The colours were chosen and the grad designed by the two mothers concerned: quite literally thread by thread. As some of the reds and violets are very close in tone it made winding the warp incredibly difficult but it was also very rewarding. My husband made a bobbin holder for me which made things a lot simpler and finally on Sunday evening the warp was on the loom, threaded and I was able to start weaving.
What is a reasonable amount of time for each session of weaving? I don't know the answer but limit myself to an hour at a time. After that concentration starts to wane and knees begin to murmur. An hour feels about right. What about you?
