The first upholstery course was held at The English Armchair Abroad in early May. It was a great success and I hope to be able to continue to teach other people this fascinating skill. It is not for the faint-hearted! You will be on your feet all day and a lot of the work is physically demanding. But the good news is that at the end of the week you will have a beautiful chair to take home with you.
The course runs from Monday-Friday and the hours are from 9.30am-5.30pm. However, students are welcome to start earlier or continue to work later if they wish. The workshop is situated in a large 14th century barn which gives plenty of room for a maximum of three students to work.
Accommodation will be provided in our family home and will include continental breakfast and evening meal
You may of course prefer to stay in a local hotel or gite and a list of these will be sent to you if you request it.
